On Monday, James O’Keefe, Project Veritas founder and the guy who made the fake Planned Parenthood videos, was trolled by Netflix after the country learned about another of his failed hit jobs. Around mid-afternoon, the Washington Post published an article claiming someone who worked for O’Keefe pretended to be a sexual assault victim of Roy Moore in an attempt to discredit the newspaper. Unfortunately for the right-wing troll, he forgot that the WaPo is the newspaper that took down a president, they are not amateurs. Once O’Keefe was exposed for being a dumbass….again, the internet could not stop laughing at him and Netflix joined in the fun with this shady tweet:
If you want more information on the power of due diligence when reporting a major news story, Spotlight is now streaming.
— Netflix US (@netflix) November 28, 2017
You know you have made some terrible life choices when everyone’s favorite video streaming service is trolling you. Spotlight is the true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered massive sex abuse within the Catholic Church. So, not only did Netflix choose a movie about journalists to troll O’Keefe with, they chose a movie about journalists uncovering a sexual abuse scandal–just like the Washington Post did with Roy Moore.
After this latest embarrassment, we hope that O’Keefe realizes he just isn’t very good at his job and Project Veritas is dead. As amusing as it is to watch him fail over and over again, it is getting a bit redundant. It’s time for him to go away now.
