Deadbeat dad Joe Walsh decided to tweet about the Golden Globes on Sunday night and it did not go exactly as he planned. The former Republican congressman from Illinois claimed that there was not a single Trump supporter or conservative to be found at the award ceremony and, of course, that means Republicans are being discriminated against by the meanies in Hollywood:
There wasn't one Conservative or one Trump supporter in that entire crowd tonight.
And Hollywood professes to believe in diversity, huh? What a joke.#GoldenGlobes

First of all, how does he know there was not one Trump supporter or conservative in the crowd? Does he know the political affiliation of every single person in the crowd? No, he doesn’t, he’s just whining on Twitter because he likes to feel persecuted. Second, the crowd was plenty diverse; there were men, women, black, Asian, white and Hispanic actors there. The man who won the award for Best Director, Guillermo del Toro, is a Mexican director. Oprah Winfrey, a black woman, won the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her contributions to entertainment. His entire tweet was absurd and Twitter users were more than happy to point it out to him:
Hmm…there were women, men, people of all skin colors, gay & straight, young & old, people of a wide variety of religions, people who grew up from all over the country (and in fact, the world). Looked pretty diverse to me…like America. Not like ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/odMd32vfKT

Maybe if those conservatives or Trump supporters were more talented performers…hmmm?

Conservatives and Trump voters aren’t good actors or film makers. You want a participation award for these people. pic.twitter.com/kdQK87F0YU

For all the right’s talk about us being snowflakes, they sure do whine a lot, don’t they?
