Today, millions of white Republican voters will flock to the pews to praise Donald Trump for making America “great” again.

They will praise the rate of job growth.
They will praise the low unemployment.
They will praise the growing stock market.
They will praise wage growth.

They will believe with all of their heart and soul that these things only started after Trump took office and that they were getting worse under Obama. There is literally nothing that can convince them otherwise. Such is the power of their faith in Fox News Jesus.

After 8 years of screaming about Obama increasing the deficit and debt, white Republican voters will kneel in church and thank Trump for giving them a temporary tax cut for the middle class and a permanent one for billionaires that is already exploding the deficit. After all, deficits don’t really matter now that God’s chosen candidate is in the White House!

Today, millions of white Republican voters will eagerly bow and scrape for the scraps the GOP and their billionaire owners have thrown them because Donald Trump is attacking immigrants and blacks and gays and liberals. For a chance to hurt everyone they hate most in this world, white Republican voters will gleefully sell their children and grandchildren into slavery. After all, they already sold their souls back in the 80s when Reagan told them that greed is good and they stole our future to pay for their Viagra and Botox.

But the moral arc of the universe does bend towards justice and before the generation of white Republican voters that stole our future dies, they will lose everything and spend their final days as the most reviled cohort in American history. They will die alone and shunned by their family for embracing white nationalism, raging at a world they couldn’t destroy as it was taken away from them and made better for everyone. They will huddle in their hospital beds, thankful for the Medicare they were unable to repeal even as they shiver in terror that their immigrant caretaker will discover they voted for Trump. And when they shed this mortal coil, if the universe is a just place, they will find their hate and rage an anchor dragging them far away from the reward they were expecting and they can spend an eternity paying for the suffering they inflicted on others in life.
